WonderCon!

Hello hello! I will be at WonderCon this weekend which will be held in Anaheim this year. A bit bummed that it's not going to be at the usual Moscone Center in SF but at least I have an excuse to visit the happiest place on earth. ;)
If you are planning on going to the convention please stop by. I will be in the Small Press area at table 109! Have a lovely week!

Painting The Force for a cause

Happy New Year! What better way off to start the year than some art going towards a great charity?
Here are a few pieces I did for the Lucasfilm Benefit Art Auction this year.
I decided to do Ahsoka, Slave Leia and Asajj Ventress. I've never painted any Star Wars characters before so this was a lot of fun to do. :)
All of them are 2x3-watercolor.

Caribbean Mermie

A newer print I had with me at CTN this year. Thank you to everyone who took the time to come to my table! I had an amazing time being inspired by all the talent I was surrounded by at the expo this year and look forward to next year already.

I will be working on a project this next year which involves all different kinds of mermies. More details later!

Here are some mini originals I painted at the con.
Have a lovely Thanksgiving week!

I've also painted some new tea themed mini originals! Above is a little preview of a couple of them.
I've been working on a few really fun projects and can't wait to share. In the meantime I promise not to let so much time go in between posting.

Liana Vine

This is my submission for the Girls Drawin' Girls nature themed book for this year. The book will be available at San Diego Comic Con in July but if you pre-order a book off of the GDG website you will receive a complimentary book plate by one of the 82 contributing artists including yours truly.
You can get more information about our 4th volume and pre-order right here!

I chose the rainforest tree theme and thought it would be fun to draw a little woodland sprite hanging out in the canopy sunshine. Did you know Lianas were a vine? ;)

WonderCon Commissions and mini paintings

Here are some commissions I did at WonderCon! Thank you to everyone who stopped by my table. It was wonderful to meet you all and I had a very exciting and busy busy time! :D

I also wanted to share some new mermaids for my mini frames. I will probably be saving and bringing them with me to conventions later on in the year.

Here are the pencil drawings

And with watercolor! I try to fit as many on a 9 x 12 watercolor sheet as I can. Usually it works out so that all the paper is used unless some turn out yucky and get X marks through them...

I will leave you with a mini painting of this little tropical girl. My company is taking us to Hawaii for a week and I'm really excited!!! I'm sure I will have paintings to share when I get back!
Ta-ta!

I've also finally set up my Etsy shop so feel free to take a peek!

Mermaid and little fishie

A new print for the Creative Talent Network Expo (CTN-X) this weekend! A little fishie is showing some bubbly love to his new mer-friend. :)

It's only going on its second year but this convention has got to be one of my favorites...seriously there is so much talent there it will make your head spin!
I'll be at table T-06 selling prints and will have a bunch of new mini gouache paintings with me. I look forward to seeing all the familiar faces from last year as well as meeting new people!
Please stop by and say hello!

Kung fu card

Something I forgot to post a long time ago. Well, specifically May of this year. Here is a card/painting I made for my mother. My entire family does Shaolin kung fu including her and she's totally awesome. I wanted to do something different from my normal cards so I painted little caricatures of her breaking out the kung fu moves. :)
I ♥ you Mom!

Introducing...

'It Girl' is a flash based game for Facebook that I have been working on since June.
Your goal is to become the ultimate 'It' Girl by traveling to the hottest cities around the world where you shop and party your way to glory! You can have a boyfriend, car and house but everyone starts from the bottom so it's crucial to be the belle of the ball wherever you go. ;)
You start of in the big city ready to shop for fabulous and trendy outfits for all the events you get invited to, you can stop at a local coffee shop for an Americano pick-me-up if you get tired and can call your friends when you need some confidence! Watch out for the snobby wannabe trend setters on the street who will try to showdown your outfit.
If this game sounds like something you might be interested in and you have a Facebook account, please add this application and be my 'clique' member!

It's been really exciting for me to have a strong influence in the design and look of the avatars and I look forward to all the new features and cities being added in the near future.
Here are a few screen shots! :)

Birthday and tea time!

I celebrated my 25th birthday a couple weeks ago at one of my beloved and favorite tea places Crown and Crumpet, 'a stylish room with tea and wit.'
Being delightfully girly, this place was an amazing place to get my girlfriends together to celebrate.

For party favors I gave each girl a pin-up cutie to take home with her. I hope they enjoy them as much as I had fun making them.
