Maui is amazing. I'm posting this from my hotel room and I'm sad that I only have 2 more days left in this tropical paradise. I swam with fishies and sea turtles yesterday but have yet to find a mermaid. :( I painting this one on the plane..she is getting ready to lei someone. ;)
I can't believe this is my 2nd post in a week. I'm really proud of myself!

WonderCon Commissions and mini paintings

Here are some commissions I did at WonderCon! Thank you to everyone who stopped by my table. It was wonderful to meet you all and I had a very exciting and busy busy time! :D

I also wanted to share some new mermaids for my mini frames. I will probably be saving and bringing them with me to conventions later on in the year.

Here are the pencil drawings

And with watercolor! I try to fit as many on a 9 x 12 watercolor sheet as I can. Usually it works out so that all the paper is used unless some turn out yucky and get X marks through them...

I will leave you with a mini painting of this little tropical girl. My company is taking us to Hawaii for a week and I'm really excited!!! I'm sure I will have paintings to share when I get back!

Updates and Wondercon!

Hey everyone! So sorry for the lack of posts lately..a lot has been going on! I recently got back from the Emerald City Comic Con where Brittney and I shared a booth together. I will have to add some recent commissions and photos from the con in a bit which by the way was a FANTASTIC convention. I can't wait until next year! Above is a new print I made for Seattle.

So...this weekend is WONDERCON!It will be my first year exhibiting here so I am very excited! Come find me in the small press area at S-75. I will have a couple new prints and my mini original gouache & watercolor paintings.
I've also finally set up my Etsy shop so feel free to take a peek!
Happy Thursday and looking forward to seeing you this weekend!

Mermaid and little fishie

A new print for the Creative Talent Network Expo (CTN-X) this weekend! A little fishie is showing some bubbly love to his new mer-friend. :)

It's only going on its second year but this convention has got to be one of my favorites...seriously there is so much talent there it will make your head spin!
I'll be at table T-06 selling prints and will have a bunch of new mini gouache paintings with me. I look forward to seeing all the familiar faces from last year as well as meeting new people!
Please stop by and say hello!

Kung fu card

Something I forgot to post a long time ago. Well, specifically May of this year. Here is a card/painting I made for my mother. My entire family does Shaolin kung fu including her and she's totally awesome. I wanted to do something different from my normal cards so I painted little caricatures of her breaking out the kung fu moves. :)
I ♥ you Mom!

Introducing...

'It Girl' is a flash based game for Facebook that I have been working on since June.
Your goal is to become the ultimate 'It' Girl by traveling to the hottest cities around the world where you shop and party your way to glory! You can have a boyfriend, car and house but everyone starts from the bottom so it's crucial to be the belle of the ball wherever you go. ;)
You start of in the big city ready to shop for fabulous and trendy outfits for all the events you get invited to, you can stop at a local coffee shop for an Americano pick-me-up if you get tired and can call your friends when you need some confidence! Watch out for the snobby wannabe trend setters on the street who will try to showdown your outfit.
If this game sounds like something you might be interested in and you have a Facebook account, please add this application and be my 'clique' member!

It's been really exciting for me to have a strong influence in the design and look of the avatars and I look forward to all the new features and cities being added in the near future.
Here are a few screen shots! :)

Birthday and tea time!

I celebrated my 25th birthday a couple weeks ago at one of my beloved and favorite tea places Crown and Crumpet, 'a stylish room with tea and wit.'
Being delightfully girly, this place was an amazing place to get my girlfriends together to celebrate.

For party favors I gave each girl a pin-up cutie to take home with her. I hope they enjoy them as much as I had fun making them.

Mini desserts

Hi there..I apologize for not posting for the past three months but a lot has been going on! I got a new job in June which has made me a very busy bee. :) I've been working hard designing avatars for a new fb game...more on that later.

Here are some small paintings I had on display at a girls drawin girls book signing for the Sugar and Spice book at the Cartoon Art Museum today. It was a lot of fun to meet and sketch with some of the LA GDG members!

Corinna

Here is a memory sketch from last weekend. I assist ballet classes each Saturday which always leaves me in such a happy mood. The ages of the girls are 3-5 years old and they say and do the funniest things!
We often do exercises that help the girls work on their acting/miming skills and this time my teacher asked the girls if they knew what a pirate was.

They all looked confused but one of the girls suddenly covered her eye and said,'They poke their eye out.' Shes 3. :)

If you were a strawberry...

Where would you spend most of your time?

Perhaps in a chocolate fountain? This is my finished illustration for the Girls Drawin Girls Book III-Sugar and Spice which will debut at Comic Con this year. My dessert was chocolate fondue and I used a mixture of acrylic, gouache and photoshop for this piece. It took quite a while and I think I need a major break from chocolate for now. (well, drawing it anyway) ;)

A Bouquet of Rose Girls

8x10 acrylic & gouache

Valentine's Day is one of my favorite days. My boyfriend is such a sweetheart. He makes me things and brings me flowers throughout the year.Instead of buying him flowers for a change I decided to paint him a little bouquet!:) Hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.
