Weekend sketches

I visited my best friend Kristina last weekend.
We did not do much as usual but we did draw fun, stupid pics and ate popsicles.

Here is a sketch I did of myself eating a Melona creamsicle. I still can't really draw myself in cartoon form but I'll keep trying!
If you haven't had a Melona creamsicle...boy, you are missing out BIG TIME!
My boyfriend was actually the one who got us hooked on them a long time ago and we are so glad! Now Kri has given them to her friends in Sac and they all love them too!
Anyway, they are Korean melon flavored creamsicles that come in honey dew, strawberry, mango and banana!
Although Kri had no real food...her fridge was fully stocked with Melona. What a great weekend.

We stopped by the mall and saw girls who looked just like this!

My highly detailed PAYLESS SHOES comic.
Just for the record we did not buy anything.

Here are two girls in fishnets.

Some pretty colors

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving weekend!

Old stuff

I started this painting but never finished it. It was inspired after going to Teatro ZinZanni. It was fantastic! You should go!

I love mermies

I like my chinadoll...I'm going to star her in my next animation!

pen sketches

These drawings were drawn with my black Faber-Castell pen which I LOVE! I don't know how to ink anything but it was fun playing around. I think I'll buy some more today!

I love artistic guys...

I had an exceptionally long and horrid commute from work today, with this mini van tailgating me half way home! I compained about it to my boyfriend on the phone and when I got home I found this taped to my door. It made me smile and put me in a better mood.
Thanks Juannie! :)

A sad blonde and mermaids

Today I decided to slap some color on stuff out of my sketchbook. I'm too rusty at photoshop to even attempt to paint them. Happy Thursday! :)

Mermie

I really don't know how to paint but my goal is to learn how to this year...For my birthday which was on the 23rd, Juan bought me the entire set of Dr. Martins concentrated watercolors which makes me sooooo happy!!!

I am so inspired by Bill Presing's wonderful style of painting. Here's a mermie in watercolor I did last night.

Hello there!

Hi, I'm Liana and this is my first blog post! I've come across so many inspiring art blogs so I have decided to start one of my own. I hope to post at least a few time a week to force myself to draw more and see my progression as an artist. Here is a pic of my dog, Princess Muffin Baby and my boyfriend's dog, Maya 7.0 (yes...after the 3d program...we are nerds!)
